A great book about Southern folk art and the role that religion plays in it....

The narrative flows like reading a novel. The end of the story where the Gruffalo becomes afraid of the mouse is beautiful. But honestly there is almost no information here that you can't get from Googling these artists and reading a short bio of them. When a storm strands Rory in Tonga, will he win back his wife or leave paradise empty-handed. As for the other features of this edition, the critical apparatus (comparing differences in various editions that appeared within Dickens' lifetime) is unlikely to interest anyone other than specialists, but there are other, more helpful features for the general reader. Warning to any reader who picks up this book: You will likely not ever be the same again.
